Hello, hello and welcome to Kathie's Coaching Podcast. Today's video is a little bit different. I am uploading a live I just did inside my Facebook group and it has some beneficial information about what I'm up to. So without further ado, let's get into it. Welcome back to a live video with your truly Coach Kathie. And today I have some exciting news. I'm so pumped up. I just got off two discovery calls with Potential clients to join my upcoming six week challenge. It is a called a better you challenge because that is all we're trying to do is become better every single day. Imagine the compounding effect of becoming 1 percent better every day. And then also imagine the fact that it's not going to be overwhelming. over stimulating and just another thing to add to your busy schedule. In fact, it fits right into your busy schedule. Hello, if we have not met yet, my name is Kathy Owen, certified fitness trainer and life coach for over two decades and then also a corporate wellness consultant. These two things fit together. So my journey started with fitness. I have been a fitness trainer since 2002 and a certified life coach. As well, and then I started in corporate wellness over a decade ago, and when I started in there, I was personal training people, just training people in a gym that we had on site and. As a personal trainer or as anybody who's in fitness, you, you, you want to help as many people as you can. Well, recently I invested in this new technology that has other coaches helping me run six week Better You challenges. What does that mean, Kathy? And what's that all about? So, now I can run that on a corporate level with hundreds of clients inside a challenge, but I'm also taking my personal training clients, and if you've worked with me before, your ears better perk up, because this technology is incredible. I'm actually training my one on one personal clients inside the technology. I just invested in it last month, and now I've been incorporating it into my personal training, which is so helpful. Here's why. I've always trained on heart rate. Okay, if I've been a personal trainer since 2002, one of the things that I learned was getting your heart rate up and bringing it down. And I used to train people back in the old days by just holding on to the heart rate sensors. on the treadmill, on whatever piece of equipment you were on. And that is how I would fitness test people. You want to get your heart rate up. You don't want to be scared of taking it up high because that is going to get oxygen going through your body better. It's going to create what is called EPOC. EPOC is excess post exercise. oxygen consumption. It's just a fancy word for oxygen going through your body better. And if you've trained with me before, you know I talk about this all the time. So, what happens when you get your heart rate high enough and when you wear a heart rate monitor, you can see that. When you get your heart rate up high enough, what happens is you will have oxygen going through your body better. You will have better fat metabolism, better oxygen consumption for 24 to 36 hours after that workout. What? That is why you will have more energy, that's what beats fatigue, that's what helps you just feel better in general. It's like magic. And I have coached heart rate for years and years and years. But, enter the smart watch. So what I started doing was I started having my clients sending me screenshots of their workouts. Which I could analyze. Are you getting their heart rate up high enough? Well, now with this advanced technology, I have a way where I can monitor your heart rate inside this app, and it's just that simple. You don't have to send me a screenshot. It will just monitor it. Not only that, there are so many resources inside there. I have nutrition guidelines. I have help with weight loss, weight management. If that's even what you, you want, I have workouts inside this app that help you get to where you're needed. Not only that, as your coach, I can analyze what's going on inside the program. And it's not another thing to add to your busy schedule. In fact, it fits right in, super easy. And it's just so beneficial. That's why it's called a Better You Challenge. Six weeks. Perfect time, perfect time to build a healthy habit and get established on the goals. I don't feed you with everything on day one. I give it to you in a dripped out formula. But I do teach you from the very beginning how the exercise is. going to be put into your schedule, what you like to do, how you like to do it, and also your nutrition guidelines. For example, I was just on a discovery call with a potential customer and she was having problems with her appetite. She was hungry all the time and I gave her a quick win inside that call because I told her, I said, well, what's your protein like? How much protein are you getting in, in your meals? And she's like, what? I said, well, okay, what are you eating right now? How many grams of protein are in that? And she told me, and I was like, okay, well, we need to spread that out throughout the day and with each time you're eating, include protein. Because when you eat more protein, you're going to curb that appetite. And most likely, she wasn't getting enough protein. But inside my challenge, and inside my resources, I have tons of resources on what protein you need, and how to get it into your diet, and how to Get it the adequate amount that's going to help you because most of us don't eat enough protein, but it's not just about that. Let's say your problem is you're trying to get into strength training and you don't know what to do. You don't know what to do when you go into the gym. Well, I have resources on that as well as you can do one on one coaching calls with me where I can describe what kind of workouts to do, or I can send you to the resources for that. This has improved my personal training to another level because it's made it easy for me to see what's going on with my client and not cookie cutter everything. So, I'm not going to flood you with information on what you need to do. I can easily, quickly see what's going on and go, Okay, here's this, what you need. For example, I could have sent my client to the protein. How much protein you need in a day. Any healthy proteins to consume, because I have it all in the app. And it would be so easy to send it to. This is why I can take this personal training. to a next level and take it to corporate and train hundreds of people at one time. Hundreds inside a corporate company, which helps the team become healthy. So when I was working as a corporate wellness, Director at a company. I was working inside there, but I didn't have this tool to help the employees get more healthy. I was doing wellness days, health fairs, things like that. I was even training people inside the gym. But what happened was Not everybody's taking advantage of that, and of course, not everybody's going to take advantage of that, but now with the help of this app, I can train hundreds of people at one time and easily see where I can send them to the resources that they need Or they even want so let's say somebody doesn't want to work out in a gym, but they're a swimmer. I have resources on that. Let's say somebody doesn't want to work out in the gym, but they want to run or they want to walk. I have resources on that. And not only that, I can analyze their heart rate to see if they're getting the quality of workout. It's not about quantity. It's about quality, and the best way to tell if somebody's getting a great workout is through their heart rate. That's why I've trained on that for years and years and years, because if you can see what your heart rate is doing, you're going to get into EPOC. Except your exercise, oxygen consumption, and it helps you. Have more energy throughout the day. So when I'm training hundreds of employees and I'm looking at their heart rates and seeing, and I can tell their CEO, Hey, look, your team is feeling better. They have more energy. They're more engaged. They're less fatigued, there's less diabetic going on, there's less high blood pressure going on, there's less, you know, just missed days of work because you feel better. And when you feel better, you're gonna work better, in general, in your day. There's even stress management, and when you work with me, I will have a A community where we bounce ideas off of each other. And we also have resources where I'll have an expert come in and teach something on, I don't know, mindset, which is one of my expertises and more. There's just, it, the potential is freaking phenomenal. I'm so excited about this and if you can't tell, then Do I don't know but what I want to state is if you're interested in this and if even if you just have a little bit of curiosity about How we to work with corporate wellness because I do have HR people inside my group who are Interested in having a program like this.
